Consistent with the college’s approach to fall instruction, operations, and residential education — with the health and wellness of the TCNJ community as the top priorities — in-person student activities will be restricted this fall. The Division of Student Affairs and others around the campus look forward to working with student organizations to engage the community in a variety of exciting, virtual community-bonding experiences.
In accordance with the New Jersey Athletic Conference announcement, no athletic competitions, travel, or practices will occur during the fall 2020 semester. Decisions regarding winter athletics will be considered later this semester.
Lions Gaming (esports) will be able to practice and compete, but both must be done virtually.
Student Organizations and Activities
The Office of Student Involvement will continue to support the meaningful, developmental, and vibrant engagement of students and student organizations in the 2020–21 academic year. While this change creates a dramatic shift to operations, this office looks forward to partnering with student organizations to find creative solutions in support of virtual events and activities.
Student Involvement Fair
A new involvement campaign will help students navigate more than 240 student organizations to find a manageable number to explore during a reimagined virtual Student Involvement Fair in September. Through a completely revamped Roar 2.0 app, virtual meeting program, and other technology, students and organizations will be able to easily engage with each other and make meaningful connections. More details will be available shortly.
Student Organization Summit
The Student Organization Summit will also take on a new look and feel this year through a virtual environment. Additional details will be shared as they become available.
